The wine detective
Our most popular experience.
You are the Wine Detective. A fun blind tasting competition where you learn how to identify wine through appearance, smell and taste. Small teams work together using worksheets and their clues sheet to see who can earn the most points to win the prize.
Cases include: Old World / New World; Signature Grape Varieties of Major Wine Regions; Bubbles; Varieties & Regions of France (or Italy, U.S., Spain); Oak Influence, and more!
Winemaker experience
You are the Winemaker.
A unique experience we recreated from some of our favorite experiences visiting Napa Valley, CA. As a group we explore how a winemaker approaches blending and why. We then taste each of the component wines and document their structure. From there each person uses the winemaker blending tools to test and trial blends until they find their personal favorite.
Component wines come from our partner, E2 Family Wines, and are pulled from barrels per order.
Unicorns and gems
A great theme for appreciation.
We use unique varietals and top regions, as well as incredible producers to support this theme. It is a great way to learn something new while also discovering new favorites. The fun theme reinforces how you feel about your team and customers since they are your true gems.
Regional variation ties specific regions or countries, to places of special meaning; where you or your customers have offices, or a trip you are planning to take.
Wine and design
What can wine tell you about yourself?
Working with our winery partner, E2 Family Wines, we have a selection of wines he provides without the marketing label.
Each person picks the wine variety that best matches them from a fun persona written for each variety. They then name their wine and design their label. A very fun experience for a networking event or showing gratitude to the team. Even more fun when you add a little competitive.
Dueling Sommelier
Or dueling Beer and Wine.
A fun experience that has guests determining which expert is the best at pairing with food. 3-4 courses are determined by the caterer or chef. The Sommeliers pick a wine for each course that they believe pairs best. Using a score sheet the participants, they try each wine with the course and determine the best pairing. Votes are tallied and a winner is crowned.
